A winter tour between two neighbouring vineyards
The vines are bare, the cellars are full, and the winemakers finally have time to talk. It is the best season to understand a terroir: what you lose in foliage, you gain in conversations and tastings that stretch on by the stove.
This day links two vineyards that have nothing in common and yet touch each other, Beaujolais and Southern Burgundy, aboard a vintage Range Rover.
From Château de Corcelles to the distillery: three tastings
The day starts at Château de Corcelles, a medieval stronghold set in the middle of the vines, around a homemade mulled wine.
Then come two estates that could not be more different: Domaine Victoire d'Affaux, where a private art collection has been handed down for generations, and Château des Bachelards, organic and biodynamic, founded by the monks of Cluny almost a thousand years ago.
The day ends at the Jacoulot distillery, a family house of Burgundy spirits.
The mâchon, then the table: the food of the terroir
At midday, a traditional mâchon (charcuterie, cheeses, a glass of wine) before lunch in a local restaurant, the kind winemakers go to themselves when they are not hosting.

When is this tour available?
It is an autumn and winter outing: the booking calendar only opens for that season. The rest of the year, the same vineyards can be explored with our full-day or half-day tours.
Is lunch included?
Yes, as well as the morning mâchon. Only your personal purchases at the wineries and the distillery are at your expense.
Is it cold during the tour?
Journeys are made in a heated vehicle and tastings take place in cellars or indoors. Just bring something comfortable for the moments outside between two stops, and the mulled wine at the start is there for that.
